Waxing

Waxing is a hair removal method that uses a specially formulated wax to remove unwanted hair from the root. It provides immediate smoothness, and you can feel the difference in your skin right after the treatment.

Warm wax is applied to the skin and then removed, pulling the hair out from the root. With continued treatments, hair may become finer and regrow more slowly over time.

Our Commitment at Maris Gina

Waxing is a hair removal technique that involves applying wax, which is primarily made of resin and other chemicals, to the skin. It is known for being one of the fastest methods to remove hair from the roots, as it allows for the removal of large areas of hair in a single motion using strips.

During the waxing process, the hair is pulled out in the opposite direction of its growth. However, this can sometimes result in hair breakage or incomplete removal from the roots. In such cases, tweezers are often used to remove any remaining short hairs. While waxing is an affordable and quick method, it can occasionally lead to hair breakage and may cause ingrown hairs.

Waxing is most suitable for individuals who need a quick solution and are not necessarily looking for long-lasting results.

We use hard wax and soft wax depending on the treatment area and skin condition.

BEST FOR THICKER HAIR IN AREAS LIKE THE ARMPITS AND BIKINI (V.I.O) REGIONS

Salon Waxing Guidelines

HAIR LENGTH

Hair should be at least one centimeter long. Short hairs can be difficult to remove, and any remaining hairs may need to be finished with tweezers, which are used sparingly to reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. If the hair is too short, we recommend sugaring or advise clients to let their hair grow longer before returning.

  • Short hair is not suitable for waxing. We recommend sugaring for finer or shorter hairs.
  • Waxing removes hair against the growth direction, which can cause breakage. We do not use tweezers to remove broken hairs.
  • Dry skin may lead to hair breakage. Please moisturize well before your session.

EFFICIENCY

Wax is applied over a wide area and removed quickly, ensuring a fast and efficient treatment. However, as the wax is applied in the direction of hair growth and pulled out in the opposite direction, some hairs may break off midway.

TREATMENT AREA

At our salon, we do not use wax for areas above the neck (including the entire face except for nasal hair, front neck, and nape) or for male Brazilian waxing. Instead, we recommend sugaring. Laser hair removal is also available.
